This site is a volunteer effort to help improve communication with and among residents of our senior residential community. Watermere at Frisco is viewed as a place where older adults seek an active and engaged lifestyle that fulfills day-to-day living. The contents of this blog will focus on providing residents with information about the many things that are happening in and around our community, as well as to encourage more participation in activities or events by all residents.

A Brief Guide to Navigating Watermereliving.com
Under the ‘Important Watermere Information’ link above, you will find important Watermere items, such as the daily Lunch and Dinner Menus, Watermere community news, and the latest Town Hall Notes. Under the ‘Watermere Activities‘ link, you will find a link to the monthly Watermere newsletter and monthly activity calendar, which you can download to your computer or print. The daily activity schedule is also listed here. You’ll find our Lending Library locations and monthly resident Book Club information at the ‘Watermere Reading Library and Book Club‘ link. The ‘Watermere Veterans‘ link provides some helpful links to veteran’s services. You’ll find a variety of senior citizen services, health tips and health resources under the ‘Valuable Community and Health Resources‘ link. There is a ‘Local Services‘ link that provides residents with shopping, junk disposal information and some local “handyman” services. Residents who find reasonable and competent handyman companies should let us know so we can encourage other residents to use their services. We added the ‘Where Were You‘ section so you can see what activities you may have missed or just enjoy watching your fellow Watermere residents having some fun. The ‘Getting Around Watermere‘ link gets you the building maps so you may more easily find your way around and get you home if you get lost. These can also be printed out on your home printer (you can also get maps from the concierge)! The ‘Elections, Driver Licenses, and More’ page offers some important getting settled links, as well as information about Texas car registration, voter registration, local elections, and other political resources. The ‘Beware of Scams’ link alerts you to the latest phone and email scams targeting senior citizens. Finally, the ‘Frisco Public Transportation’ link tells you how to qualify for low cost door-to-door senior citizen transportation for shopping or doctor appointments. The ‘Grand Park in Frisco’ link highlights the history and status of the public park and hiking trails just to the east of Legacy Rd. between Cotton Gin Road and Stonebrook Pkwy.
You will notice that there is a “comment” section on the ‘Contact Us‘ page. This allows a resident to offer website suggestions or to ask questions. Questions about Watermere at Frisco matters or policies should be directed to staff or management.
Enjoy Watermere at Frisco to the fullest and celebrate aging!
So, Welcome to WATERMERE!
Take a minute to watch this short video that teaches the importance of being more understanding or more welcoming… As someone once said, “Sometimes, reaching out and taking someone’s hand is the beginning of a journey. At other times, it is allowing another to take yours.”
Do you remember when as a child you might have moved to a new neighborhood or started at a new school halfway through the year? Well, being the new kid wasn’t easy. And, now that you’re in your second “childhood” and have settled into apartment living at Watermere, we must always remember that some of our residents may not find the move to a new community easy.
